Ms. Rachel

Hi, this is Rachel!

I am the current acting supervisor at Franklin Community Preschool. I’ve been working in early childhood education for over 14 years and am passionate about my career. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from Capilano University. I also completed a Special Needs specialization and Infant/Toddler citation at Douglas College.

I enjoy working with children and families. I believe in children’s uniqueness, and a responsive play-based curriculum that concentrates on the individual’s areas of interest, strengths, and needs is essential to create meaningful learning experiences for children.

We work cooperatively with parents, children, and other community members, creating a safe environment to inspire children’s sense of belonging and well-being at our preschool. We maintain open communication with staff and families whenever they have questions.

We respect every child and see them as competent, curious, and capable. We look forward to exploring, learning, and experiencing with your children at Franklin Community Preschool!
