Hi, I’m Joan!
I’ve been working in early childhood education for over 11 years, and I truly love what I do. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education with a Special Needs specialization from Douglas College. I’m a lifelong learner who’s passionate about helping children grow through curiosity, play, and meaningful connection.
As a mom of two energetic and curious children, I know just how magical (and sometimes messy!) early learning can be. I understand the importance of fostering a love for learning through play and exploration. My own childhood was filled with adventures, unstructured play and lots of time outdoors.
I believe children learn best when they’re given the space to explore and follow their interests. Whether they’re counting pinecones, building forts, or telling stories with sticks and leaves, children are constantly learning. My role is to support, guide, and celebrate those discoveries with them.
